Echo is the Wakefield Police Department's K9. He is a one and a half year old male black Labrador Retriever that was purchased from Katalyst Kennels in Litchfield County, Connecticut. Echo received his basic K9 training from Peace of Mind Canine Training in Concord NH.
Echo and his handler Officer Matthew Martino both completed narcotics detection with the Boston K9 Police Academy and are certified by the USPCA. Echo and Officer Martino are also certified in tracking and article detection.
